Thank you for your interest in Upward Bound of Michigan State University!

We are a program with a proud tradition of excellence. Our alumnae are represented all over the United States. Upward Bound graduates are names that are sometimes well-known like philanthropist and business mogul Oprah Winfrey, award winning acclaimed actress Angela Bassett, ground breaking astronaut Franklin Chiang-Diaz, acclaimed television host John Quinones and the list goes on. There are also many other outstanding, hardworking, Upward Bound alum that have enjoyed success in their professional and personal lives. A large number of those individuals attribute some of that success to the support that they received as participating scholars in Michigan State University’s Upward Bound program.
